View Full Version : Question on Magic Find modifier.

OK so I'm a priest, with a rogue recruit that I use the most. I heal the rogue, the rogue kills everything. If I get lots of magic find equipment on my priest, and the rogue is killing stuff, does the magic find stuff still count since my priest isn't the one doing the killing or what? Also, if I buy a stack of magic find potions, and use them on both of us, will that give me double the magic find?
And yes, I'm a greedy greedy little priest :p.

Assuming you are playing on a recent version, it doesn't matter if you or you recruit kills something, you get your full magic find bonus, and you get half of your recruit's magic find bonus.
As long as we are on the topic of greed :D ...
Does magic find increase the chance that an item will be magical (instead of plain item), or does it also increase the potency of the magic found? (Ie. Better chance for yellow or blue items.)

Both actually. The higher the magic find, the more likely the item will be a higher rarity type.
