Unless I'm really having a long stretch of bad luck or the game is geared towards Punishing the Player and this is not fun and does not make the game fun to play at all.

1 out of 10 times I can get to town to save it - the time is too short and how about a town portal scroll.

I leave a lvl 2 area for 20 seconds and come back and it's got 6 enemy generators and 40 undead at spawn point that I just cleared.

Alot of the quest times are way to short - how am I supposed to clear 600 hordes in 30 seconds to complete my goal

So yeah at the moment the game is no fun for me and I'm also a little disappointed that alot of the 1st 2 games assets have found there way into din's Curse - a little variety would have gone a long way to not make you feel you are playing the same game in a different setting

The game isn't meant to be as punishing as it seems to be. When I manage to get the first patch out it should be a little better balanced.

The one thing I think needs changing, as far as difficulty, is to up the HP of the quest NPCs in the dungeon. I have yet to save one, and they get killed every time. Of course, it doesn't help that they ALWAYS spawn in the midst of zombies for me. ;)

I just failed three towns in a row. The first I kept getting escort and rescue missions that were essentially impossible. The second I couldn't get out of the first hallway of the first dungeon due to a high number of champions spawning. The third the game started with a renegade who I couldn't seem to find and just kept sending monsters against the town. Some of these monsters were ridiculously overpowered. I died ten times fighting one of them while he casually wandered around ganking villagers until I lost.

So yeah, maybe its a little difficult.

I agree that raising the hp on dungeon NPC's might go a long way to solving the difficulty of the rescue and delivery quests. I also think it would be a great addition if NPC's that you were escorting had a health bar displayed on your screen, much like a summoned creature does. It would make it a bit easier to keep track of how they were doing, and potentially heal them provided you have the skills to do so.
