I noticed yesterday that there were no videos of Din's Curse up anywhere. This struck me as odd, so I fixed it.

I wanted to ask if there is any issue with this. There isn't any NDA or anything, but I seek general approval regardless.

If there is no issue, I'd like to put up additional videos showcasing various hybrid combinations. Anyways, check out the vid and let me know what you think.

The next one is on its way - Part 1: (edit: deleted because of blurry lameness)

It's not particularly funny, but 20 min long. Just a slice of regular gameplay with my latest hybrid, a lvl 9 trickster / necromancer. I had to cut it in half due to YouTube's 10 min restriction.

Edit: Here's the 2nd half: (edit: deleted because of blurry lameness)

The quality is horrible and the aspect ratio in the embedded view is all wrong, obviously I need more experience with YouTube uploads :/

Gyro, I love the opening music in yours. It reminds me of the tv show, Firefly.

Are you referring to my video? I didn't hear any music in Gyro's that I recall.

Well, watching them again, my first 2 didn't do the game justice, so I made another one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVWWwwedvSU

Let's see how this one turns out. I'm struggling with the aspect ratio and wondering what exactly YouTube expects to recognise a video as "high res" and such ... How do you guys do it? I'm capturing at 1680x1050 in half res, which leaves me with a 19:10 video in 840x524 resolution. now I'm wondering if the tube only accepts 19:9 ratios without letterboxing or distortion.

the requirement for 720p video you mean? it's both resolution and image quality. so you can't have too much compression. and you need more than 1680x1050/2

hi all!
I'm huge fan of Soldak games :D (DoP is near perfection), i have questions for you people are playing beta:

- is "city" so little and few objects/npc to talk to ?
- there are non-hostile monsters, like a goblin npc ?

thanks!

Well, drat! Yes, I meant yours, Viper34j. This will teach me from watching so many videos at the same time. (No it won't! ;))

The city is similar in size to DoP's town. There are a lot more npcs that you can talk to though (4 main quest givers, up to around 10 vendors, wandering vendors, and usually lots of normal townspeople).

There are non hostile monsters every once in a while that will give you quests.
