Hi
I notice that sometimes the invasions are so frequent that every time I go back to the dungeon in the world I'm playing now a new group of monsters hits town within a few minutes..any hints like maybe hanging around town for awhile?:o

In my experience it tends to depend on whether or not there's a boss monster, recon totems and certain unique enemies still hanging out below you in the dungeon. All these factors tend to really increase the frequency of town attacks and so your best bet is likely to get down there and destroy those totems/bosses asap. It helped in my last town, where I was having the same issue as you.

There is also a World Trait that is sometimes applied to a town called "Vulnerable Town". I assume this means that the town is more susceptible to attacks. You can see theses world traits in the top left corner of the map ('M' key).

I'd really like to get a list of the world traits and what they do. Or even better, make it so that when you hover over them they provide a tooltip.

I too am getting frustrated with all too frequent town attacks in an otherwise highly enjoyable game. It is a neat concept, but how about a little something to help the hero? A warning prior to an attack or an attack countdown? Or putting the portal stone on a cooldown? Something to buy the player time to respond... And hopefully something (a strategy, vendor totems...) to limit the attacks because the attacks are near constant and it is crushing my desire to play.

Just patched to 0.912. I actually played for a few minutes before three simultaneous attacks... Then, while healing in town, two more...

It is nice to see the source of the attack. It is frustrating to see that it is from level 6 and I am on level 2.

I think I am done for a while.

There's an option with slow mode. It could help you feel better with the game. Use pause for shopping, inventory managing and dialogs, this will let you more time.

Check carefully the events. You can scroll the list of events to check some older events. This can give you previous information about the sources of threatening attacking your town. And you can destroy some even if you didn't get or notice the quest for them.

Not sure that making attacking waves physically pass through all dungeon levels until level 1 would work that well. That could generate a lot of encumbrance in level 1, but yes for waves coming from level 6, at least one stop and associated event in a level between 6 and 1 would be nice. In fact I believed the game was doing that already, at least sometimes.

Wierd luck. One time when I was in a Las Vegas casino watching the roulette game, the ball landed on black something like 10 or 12 times in a row. I figured the odds were definitely in my favor that the ball would land on red, so I placed my bet. It came up black, then black again. :( Luck is streaky sometimes.

Monte Carlo fallacy strikes again.
