version 908, Mac. Came back having escorted a person to 5th level from 4th. Did the 'finish quest' talking stuff. Clicked on button, got okay and goodies. Then noticed there was still a green '!' over the guys head so 'quested' him again. This time I got credit for every quest with him I'd done so far in the game. (Apothocary) I stopped clicking and checked my character page and had gotten a ton of reputation in the slide bar area. Not sure if I got anything else. But when I clicked out of that and spoke again to the guy, he just had another new quest for me. Character level 6 at the time. Not sure if I got extra anything else as it surprised me so much I forgot to screencapture etc.

Also, I was asked to get items for a lightning rod for the village to build above ground. Got them and the and obliske (sp?) appeared. I accidentally touched it and the object disappeared!

I'll get version 909 and see if I can duplicate it. This version wasn't posted when I was on earlier today.

Neither of those are probably bugs.

You can solve some of the quests without ever officially accepting them. For example, if there is a unique monster causing trouble in the dungeon, you will get credit for the quest if you kill him regardless if you have the quest or not.

As for the obelisk, yes you only get one use. I try to save that one use for town attacks myself.

In .909 I had a quest appear that had no text in the dialog box at all. I accepted it; it showed up on my quest list but still had no text (description). I went on my merry way, and it eventually solved anyway. Never figured out what the quest actually was.

uummm, I did accept the quests earlier. finished them and got credit for them. It was a later quest that I'd accepted and came back to claim credit that set off the full quest rewards for those I'd already gotten before. At least credit for reputation...or so I thought at the time. Shrug.

You may have lost your main questgiver for a while. When you recruited a new one and he returned, he allowed you to solve all the quests he'd have given you earlier. Was he the Warmaster?

Yes, I believe he was a warmaster.

AmberJoy, I'd be interested in knowing if there were any things about the game that you had trouble figuring out when you started playing the game for the first time (or later on too). If you could list some of them, it might help the Soldak team make some things clearer in the manual and in-game help.

I'll try to answer soon. Got involved in another Beta test & RLstriking my household. Thanks for asking.
