View Full Version : Wrong permissions on global DinsCurse directory

I just downloaded the beta and was having a lot of problems using it from a user-level account. I'd run the app, get prompted for the license code, and it would instantly quit to desktop after I entered it. Running it from the admin account prompted for the code and then behaved properly. Even after that, running it as a user still prompted and failed.

I tracked the problem down to the location and permissions of the key.txt file. You're putting that into: /Library/Application\ Support/DinsCurse/User/key.txt

The DinsCurse directory was owned by the admin account and was permissions 700. None of the user accounts could see the key.txt file or write their own. Making that directory and its contents world readable seems to have resolved the issue.

Please make sure the directory and its contents get created at 755 or 777 as appropriate.

Sorry, I should have said (in case it's not obvious from the directory path) I'm talking about the Mac version.
