Hi guys,

For those of you pining after some Dungeon Siege game-play, try this mod that makes your character auto-attack if attacked.

Its simply enabling an option that was turned off as it may make things confusing when trying to attack or use a special attack normally.

Currently there is no in-game way of turning a mod like this on or off.

You also can not choose what to attack with or how to attack.

Just install it the normal way you install mods: Copy the zip file into your Assets folder.

I doubt I can do anything more with this mod as its simply flipping a switch, but all comments are welcome.

There is no way to turn a mod on or off. However, there is an option in the user.cfg file that allows you to enable or disable auto attack. Since auto attack was disabled in the system file, this option didn't do anything. But you turned it back on, so now the option works again. All that needed to be done was to add the option to the menu.

Attached is your mod with a modified Game Options menu which adds an auto attack toggle.

Oh, yeah, I completely forgot about that option, good idea joku.

I've encountered a bug. I have auto-attack disabled through the options, but it seems like it's still enabled, but I can still attack normally which results in nearly double attack speed.

Oh well, I can always just remove this mod.

I'll look at it.

I like this mod, except sometimes the character attack facing the opposite direction.

For those that want a toggle in the options, here's an updated version for 1.007.

The toggle now seems to work properly with the new patch, but auto-attack in general seems to be more bugged than before. I tested it out and when I was attacked, sometimes I would attack normally (without facing the enemy), sometimes I would attack but there was no attack animation, and sometimes I wouldn't attack at all. Or maybe it was like that before; I don't remember.

Just to be clear- is this an automatic attack against enemies that hit you, exactly like if you clicked on them? Or is this an auto attack like in Depths of Peril, where your character automatically hits away for a certain amount of damage over time, and your special attacks occur over top of that?

Because I liked that system, it encouraged you to use lots of different special attacks instead of just one big one.
