We have finally released a Mod SDK for Drox Operative. It's a fairly small download over on the Drox Operative mod page (http://www.soldak.com/Drox-Operative/Mods.html). The SDK has a lot of documentation on how to mod Drox Operative, a few example mods, and a few tools (font/model related).

Hmm... the Font & Model Tools... how does one go about actually using them correctly...? & can the Model Tool be used to create Custom Models, like say, for Mod Fighter Bay Ships...? :)

If you have 3d studio max 5 (up to 9) you can create new meshes and animations. Tools and documentation here:

A quick question.

I've tried to mod the game and add +5 light slots (30-34)

I've moved race specific slots to 35-39.


Now the race specific slots do not show.
Is the max number of SlotIndex hardcoded again? :(

It is very possible that there is some hardcoded stuff with the equipment, but also equipment.mnu references slots that might need to be modified.
