I created a new playable class based on some recommendations from Tyrax Lightning on the New Races Mod thread: http://www.soldak.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27869
My fav Subrace outta the ones known is the Clones! (Subrace of the Drakk) I would love to be able to play as one of them, even if it'll be hellishly hard to find good Clone Crewmembers to occupy the Racial Clone Crew Slot...

Although the Drakk are my fav Main Race, I think the Clones do a better job of looking like Dragons then the Drakk, though the Drakk have a better Dragon Race coloring. (Though Blue Clones would look best of all & pwn all in this regard!:cool:)
Ahh, in that case, i've pondered how interesting it would be if there was a Race that specialized in Unity & Teamwork, thus causing them to have their Racial Light Slot be a 2nd Crew Slot... (What their Racial Medium Slot would be to go with it, I haven't been able to decide though...)
So now you can play as a Drakk Clone, and all the ships and insignias are blue. The Clone class has 2 dedicated clone crew slots (no other dedicated slots for now) and provides bonuses to Structural and Tactical.
Here are known issues:

Descriptive text should be updated (currently default text from the game)
On the menu for selecting an existing character, the color of the class is the default for clones (khaki) instead of blue https://www.dropbox.com/s/4omrhw54m3du4j9/ss0002_crop.jpg

They need a medium component; I'm working on a new component group that will fit here
All ships currently have red auras like Drakk instead of blue.

DLed! :D Hope this isn't a dumb question, but will this Mod work in combo with the Balanced Command Mod? :)

It should work fine. I've been doing some debugging, so the mod may be quirky all by itself. I'll post again when I can make sure I have a stable version uploaded.

Thus far, still no-go on finding a Clone Crewmember.

Edit: Now, after more play, i've noticed that the Clones are now lacking their Trait that gave them extra Breeding power, thus more population growth... is this intentional as balance in exchange for their promotion to a Main Race, or is this an oops...?

Also, in the Game those Screenies came from, I have won the Challenge Sector & successfully kept one of the 2 Clone Factions alive in the process & I correctly got a Reward Chest for the effort. :)

Thanks for testing. I have no idea how the Clones are able to start, let alone why they are called Drakk (sometimes) and why there can be two of the same race in a sector. I'm working on breaking the mod into small chunks to see what breaks what. Thanks for letting me know about their extra trait; it's another bug, but it may point me toward some answers.

By the way, the only way to get a Clone crew member right now is via an unlikely random drop while they're in the sector. If I can get all of this crap working correctly I will circle back around and create a new recruit quest to package with the class mod.

*Gasp* I gotta idea! Maybe the Clone's Yellow Slot Racial Item can be the Yellow Slot +Structure Components! :D

Edit: Oops, I forgot, yellow slot +Structure Components don't seem to need Power Load, thus maybe that wasn't a strategic choice after all...

New Idea: Racial Slot Yellow Slot +Weapon Speed Components! :D
