This is a trivial bug / modding request with 1.010:

"Naked" .trn files don't get picked up; the only way to add translations is to put .trn files in a zipfile.

Example:

The translation keys in Loc/English/test.trn are not recognized. Only if I zip Loc/, then the translation keys in test.trn are used.

That's odd, I'm not having this problem with my meager number of translations which I load naked... that could be so taken out of context.

Do some translations fall under a "special case" where we need to force-load the .trn files? I found out some game menus have this problem.

If I grep through the files, I see Loc/English/layout.loc set 4 TranslationFile property values, snippet:


TranslationFile global.trn
TranslationFile quests.trn
TranslationFile items.trn
TranslationFile npcChat.trn
