Shadow, what does SilentHateChange do?

The monsters/NPCs use a hate system to determine who they will attack. Usually it is based on who has done the most damage to them. Skills that have SilentHateChange also add hate to nearby monsters when the skill is used.

Interesting. What criteria do you use to decide which skills get SilentHateChange? I understand that sometimes monsters get cursed but not damaged, so it makes sense to place it there. But, for example, cure poison has silentHateChange while lesser and greater heal don't.

Healing spells automatically add hate based on the amount healed.

OK so SilentHateChange doesn't show the hate effect in the spell description, whereas HateChange does, right?

I have a few more questions:

1. What's the possible range of hate?
2. How much hate does damage generate per point of damage?
3. Factions also have a hate system, right?

Thanks in advance.

1) There really isn't a range exactly
2) 1 damage = 1 hate
3) Factions do have something similar, but it more kill related than damage
