all IMHO :D

- storyline: some sort of little adventures but connected together in a great story
- no more useless items: option to turn off all useless items. Player must play, not review items :D
- better graphics: more models, different "settings" for levels,
- level editor: if the game will not be so much generated like other ones, level editor for community could be a must :D
- social interaction: let me share my character on most easy way (twitter, fb?)
- multiplayer (LAN,WAN or local): play with a friend (or more than one, maybe 4 like L4D ?) is a must :D

I like this. What about battling multiplayer friend(s) in other starships just for fun? By the way, the graphics are already way better than other games I've seen in this genre. Yes, I did the graphics, but Shadow programmed how they'd appear first. They're really looking cool.

I suggest artworks in the game. It is cheaper than cinematics, but can be artistically very stimulating and reinforces immersion in the game. You should look for a good painter. One good example, for me, is Alien Syndrome (http://wii.ign.com/dor/alien-syndrome/869043/images/alien-syndrome-20070718053619178.html?page=mediaFull) on the psp. I liked the artworks very much.
The first cutscene :

By the way, Shadow, what do you think of Space Pirates and Zombies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbikOfUFcxI) ? Personaly, I'd prefer a Din's Curse-like gameplay even if the art job is very well done and immersive IMHO.

SPAZ was fun. It's more action than what we are aiming for though (like the aiming part).
