Are you male or female?

* Female

What is your favorite character, the one that you play the most (short version, pls: name, type, lvl)?

*StealthBunny, rogue, lvl 40 (and still climbing!)

Who does that character travel/party with?

*Sveni, warrior, lvl 42

What type of monster do you hate the most?

*any spiders, 'cause I hate spiders. Also, the balls o' light, 'cause they're hard to see sneaking around, and the plague spawners.

What type do you like the most?

*I like the challenge of the underground worms, 'cause SB does this little run-around dance to lure them out. And the lightning drakes are beautiful, 'cause they're PURPLE! :p

What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)

*I like the deserts, simply because I can see the secret stashes better. Normally I like forestry terrains, but in about four weeks of playing, I have yet to spot a stash in Deadfall Forest, unless I click on it by accident.

Do you like day or night the most?

*Nights in the desert, day anywhere else.

What is your favorite type of quest?

*The "easter egg" type. Search and find.

What is your favorite fighting tactic?

*Throwing my warrior at the monsters while I'm stealthed, and collecting the treasures later.

Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?

*If I'm letting my warrior do the fighting, I wait until after. If I'm in the fight, during, because I want to grab what I can before dying.

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?

*Around the edges first, then work my way through the innards.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?

*Haven't worked out a pattern for that. I'm always going over the same area again and again, even with checking the maps. I tried extinguishing the lights as a way to tell where I'd been, or using the opened doors as a guide, but that didn't help either.

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?

*Click icons, and it drives me nuts when I'm in battle and left-click instead of right-click and die because I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the icon that is now floating at the end of my cursor.

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?

*Play further. Must have more treasure!

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?

*1. She loves books. Always asks Oslo if any new books have come in.
2. Likes "pretties" a little too much (relics, uniques, jewelry). Sveni is always scolding her for spending money on those instead of healing potion or food.
3. Hoards her pretties, even duplicates or ones she cannot use (mail, plate, etc).
4. Her running steps bounces a little, rather like a rabbit (actually, it's because my computer is older and tends to make the game run more slowly the longer I play.)
5. She and Sveni bicker all the time, and he calls her his little rabbit.

What are your five favorite tips?
*1. The covenants buy items at much better prices than vendors. And will almost always buy shields.
2. After the covenants are beaten, save all shields found and use them as a quick cash source for the next game.
3. As a way to gain favor with covenants, give gifts. Cheap items work well (It's the thought that counts!). When the game starts, after each quest, I ask each covenant what items of mine they are interested in. Instead of selling, I give it to them. I gain more favor that way, and get more proposals for trade routes/gifts/alliances, etc. I go around to each covenant and give away everything that I can, and sell the rest to Oslo (there is always stuff left over as some items are not brought up on the available-to-give menu). Then I go off questing while the other covenants rip each other apart. Once they've narrowed themselves down a bit and I'm set with alliances, then I can settle down and sell items to them, rather than give, and it still gains favor.
4. Be careful when you are selling to vendors, especially if you are selling a lot at once. 'Cause if you go too crazy with that space bar, somehow you might sell the wrong thing, and I really really miss that 107 leather armor tunic. So be really really careful. (man, my character was even wearing it at the time, so I REALLY mis-clicked/mis-space-barred)
5.Loot your recruits before you kick them out. Especially if they've got good stuff. And ESPECIALLY if it's good stuff that you gave 'em.

What is your favorite character, the one that you play the most (short version, pls: name, type, lvl)?

I've played a bunch of priests up to level 30-40. Then I start over. I don't know why???

Who does that character travel/party with?

Usually a warrior, unless I have someone else several levels higher

What type of monster do you hate the most?

Lurkers (cause I have to chase them) and Plaguebringers (dang spawers clogging up the screen and making it impossible to get through an area!).

What type do you like the most?

Can't think of one I like more than others? Imps maybe (their fear keeps them from forming effective mobs).

What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)

Grasslands, because with whatever that glossy option is called (I forget at the moment), it's so freaking pretty. Vas did an awesome job on that.

Do you like day or night the most?

--DAY--, night is scary.

What is your favorite type of quest?

Kill them, KILL THEM NOW!

What is your favorite fighting tactic?

Bash 'em with magic. My priest is strong! If it's a group of hard baddies, Sometimes I'll try to kite one away so I can kill one at a time.

Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?

During if it's a few, after if it's a mob.

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?

Outside then inside.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?

Pick all left or all right until I finish goal, and then I get the hell out. I don't like feeling lost down there and skip these when I can, even if you get more stuff down below.

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?

Hotkeys

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?

End it.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?

Well... unattended fires are dangerous. So if I kill all the monsters near a fire, of course I have to put it out. What if it spread and burned down a grassland or forest? Nope. It's just irresponsible to leave them burning. I only leave them in the desert. Not much to burn there.

What are your five favorite tips?
Save unwanted items from your win chests to sell or give to covs in the next game. If you have extra money, covs XOXOXOXO you if you give it to them. Read the stories and find the secret in town.

Taleana

Are you male or female?

Female

What is your favorite character, the one that you play the most (short version, pls: name, type, lvl)?

Well, at the moment I have two:

Taleana, a level 18 rogue in Avengarde Covenant and Cameo, a level 5 priest in The Holy Flame

Who does that character travel/party with?

My rogue usually has a priest with her, and my priest hasn't really found a good travelling buddy yet.

What type of monster do you hate the most?

Plaguebringers

What type do you like the most?

Moon Clan Stalkers (well, any of the stalkers...)

What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)

Grasslands

Do you like day or night the most?

Night, I can see the spells and stuff better :)

What is your favorite type of quest?

The random people that wander into town and ask you to seek revenge for them.

What is your favorite fighting tactic?

I would like my tactic to be that I run in, fight, pull back, let my companion fight, run back in, all goes well and I pick up the loot...But more often than not, my fights go something like this: Run in full of confidence, try to run, and rez back at town.

Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?

Both, grab what I can during just so I don't forget it, and anything else after

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?

I don't really have a set exploration route...It really depends on what direction the NPC with me decides to run after we've entered an area.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?

Run screaming until I find the way down/up

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?

A bit of both, I click on food and potions, hotkeys for all my skills

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?

I usually take out any competition I have early on...but then I get bored running around with no other covenants, so I start a new game...and get tired of them killing everything and the cycle begins again.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?

Taleana is a bit of a pack rat, she keeps all shiny/pretty objects she finds. Cameo is a bit of a food nut, she especially loves the roast quail.

What are your five favorite tips?

1. Save often
2. Back up save folder twice as often (somehow mine got lost and I had to start over...sadness)
3,4, and 5....You can never have too many health potions.

What is your favorite character, the one that you play the most (short version, pls: name, type, lvl)?
Ljot, priest, somewhere in the 30's, creative leader of Ljot's Lot

Who does that character travel/party with?
Eldgrimm, 30-something stoneskinned warrior

What type of monster do you hate the most?
Plaguebringers and scavengers. Especially both at once.

What type do you like the most?
Dead ones.

What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)
Impartial, but any zone that's dark is out.

Do you like day or night the most?
Impartial.

What is your favorite type of quest?
Treasaure maps and "pick up X of Y off the ground" types. Easy goods.

What is your favorite fighting tactic?
Generally I let Eldgrimm get everything mad at him and sit back healing or holy bolting as necessary. Once I get mobbed for healing too much I run like mad healing myself while Eldgrimm gets a workout.

Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?
Generally after, unless there's only one or two beasties.

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?
Outside-in unless I'm there for a reason. If I'm on a fetch quest I sweep back and forth till it's complete.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?
Preferably not. Otherwise, pretty much randomly.

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?
Hotkeys.

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?
Play through the main quest if I haven't finished yet.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?
Not really, though she seems quite the peacenik regarding other covenants.

What are your five favorite tips?
Gifts of gold turn enemy covenants into friends. Fast. Never trade influence. Gift them some gold or crystals if you must, but never reduce your tax base. Turn your shared stash into a library with duplicate books for your new characters. The CTRL key is your friend. Lesser Heal = Good

- A combination, but I find it hard to keep up with the conditional attack skills.

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?
- Play a bit longer to use up the rest of the time on that Treasure potion...

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?
- Hoarding anything unique. But really, that's a quirk of mine...

What are your five favorite tips?
- 1. Damage over time is a great way to drop most difficult enemies.
2. Smokescreen and caltrops will save your life. Invest in these skills.
3. Conditional attack skills (overpower, critical strike) make a huge difference in any battle.
4. Always check to see what other covenants have for trade when you start a new game.
5. Pause. Pause pause pause.

What is your favorite character, the one that you play the most (short version, pls: name, type, lvl)?

I have too many characters to count, but I usually like warriors the most these days. One of my favorites, although I haven't played him in a while, is Jarrow a level 25 warrior.
Who does that character travel/party with?

Lately, who ever is the highest level and I constantly replace the lower level recruits unless they are just awesome.

What type of monster do you hate the most?

None of them really, but what do you expect from the designer. :)

What type do you like the most?

Depends on the day. Right now the imps because they have 2 types with different personalities and they have a cool story about them.

What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)

The areas that stand out the most like Black Forest and Red Death.

Do you like day or night the most?

Night. It is a little more dangerous, but has more loot.
What is your favorite type of quest?

Hidden treasure and recruit quests.

What is your favorite fighting tactic?

Wade right in and start killing everything, use lots of food and potions, and run when necessary.

Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?

During for easy fights and after for harder fights.

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?

Usually around the outside and then the inside.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?

No real technique, wander towards areas that I haven't been.

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?

Hotkeys.

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?

I'll finish up any good quests I have and then start a new game.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?

Depends on the character. My warriors tend to always go for straight military wins, whereas my other characters are much more open to diplomatic options.

What are your five favorite tips?

Certain monsters should be killed quickly: scavengers, plaguebringers, dimensional gates, and liches.
Keep your relations up with at least a couple of the other covenants so you have some friends and the covenants aren't all enemies.
Solve as many quests as possible. They give good XP and influence.
Try to always have your skill points used up. You can always buy them back if you want to change them.
Tell all of your friends to buy the Depths of Peril also. Ok, I had to sneak at least one of these in here. :)

Primarily Mage, almost level 31

Who does that character travel/party with?

Level 30, plate wearing warrior

What type of monster do you hate the most?

The ones that stun.

What type do you like the most?

The uniques.

What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)

Amber plains and Wayward Desert for looks.
For creepiness I'd say the one forest you can access before Black Forest.

Do you like day or night the most?

No preference.

What is your favorite type of quest?

"seek and destroy" and "find the buried treasure".

What is your favorite fighting tactic?

sling spells until they're done with.

Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?

After

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?

Depends. Sometimes I work from one corner to the opposite, sometimes I work from outside in, other times I follow the mobs and still others I pick a corner and go north and south to the opposite corner.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?

Pick a wall and just start following it, if a large central area of unexplored area starts separating out from the wall I'm following then I go back and explore the big central area.

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?

hotkeys, so much more efficient.

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?

Play further and keep on questing.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?

A lore master of sorts, collecting information.

What are your five favorite tips?

- Keep watch on the stores, you never know what you'll find.
- Be choosy with the quests given and keep your list full with ones from the same area to do at the same time.

Thunder Plains, or Cyrio Plains.

Do you like day or night the most?
Day. It's brighter.

Any "kill" quest will do.

What is your favorite fighting tactic?
Gain 100% momentum by killng other monsters, then stalk the Legend then BAM! Spam lethal blow like there's no tomorrow.

clickclickclickclick, haha. No, I use hotkeys actually.

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?
I usually kill all covenants whenever I enter a new world, so obviously, I play on without them.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?
They always wear armors that give balanced elem resistance (I don't even care about +armor). And He/She/I always give VIP treatment to thieves, I teleport to town even if I'm currently fighting a Legend.

What are your five favorite tips?
-Don't panic if your recruit dies, as long as you don't as well. They don't have xp reduction, and you do.
-Try to befriend at least one covenant always. It helps a lot in raids.
-Bring someone who complements your character (melee type for cast type and vice versa)
-Always take care of the "cure" quests first. Believe me.
-During wars, use two teleports. One is the raid teleport inside and one is the teleport stone outside. The walk they do to alternate portals give enough time to slowly kill their lifestone. You can even win with this with only two in a party.

What is your favorite character, the one that you play the most (short version, pls: name, type, lvl)?[B]At the moment I'm playing my mage up (Dalamar level 9 Mage) although my favourite character is defiantly one of my two priests (Goldmoon level 62 Priest and Crysania, level 13 priest).
Who does that character travel/party with?My priests have warrior companions almost exclusively(I like to use a range of buffs and healing spells to keep them in fighting condition rather than fighting myself).
What type of monster do you hate the most?I'm not sure, I'm not a big fan of the muddy dividing creatures, since with close range characters it's very easy to be crushed by numbers, which is something no other monster manages on it's own, I'm also not a big fan of those monster that leave poison clouds behind(the cloud takes too long to appear, by the time I've noticed it I'm already inside it and poisoned).
What type do you like the most?
I'm a bit of a fan of the demon gates and a few other spawning monsters(just not the amorphs), since it expands the idea of strategy.
What terrain do you like the most (ie: forest, desert, underground)
I like open ground over ground with lots of obstacles and rocks to walk around, although the rocks are handy for my mage to protect himself from powerful physical foes.
Do you like day or night the most?
hmn, I'm going to have to pass on that, I love day because it's easier to see, and night because the rewards appear to be higher.

What is your favorite type of quest?
I like the fighting of monsters with names most, but honestly I always pick the quests in the area that will net the largest XP reward after a trip(or group of trips if it sounds hard)

What is your favorite fighting tactic?
hmn, depends, with my priests I like to keep back, and let the recruit take the lead, while I use buffs and long range spells to attack, healing if needed. With my mage I tend to attack a group using a multihitting spell(chain lightning's a current fave), then use area attacks if I get swarmed(I concentrate on groups first, then deal with individuals)
Do you collect treasures during a fight or after?
during, but for hard fights I tend to do it in strange jumps, where I pick stuff up, teleport back to sell it and identify good equipment, then go back.

How do you explore new territory (above ground)?
I start using a zig zag style approach, but really I'm just looking for the area's gate, once I've found that I tend to run around pretty randomly.

How do you explore new territory (under ground)?
Follow the left edge(unless I wind up coming back on myself, where I'll move to an area I've not been and repeat this strategy).

Do you use keyboard hotkeys or click icons?
combo, for my main 4 skills/items I use hot keys, for others I have I use the icons(since they tend to be used when I have spare time or I need to see what they are anyway)

Do you end the game when you've beaten the other covenants, or play further to win more quests?
I tend not to attack other covenants unless I receive messages about them being weak(then I either fight on their behalf to keep it running, or finish them off, based on how I feel that day), I have played games before though, where a town attack has actually wiped out a covenant or 2(oh, I always play with 4 or 5 covenants, so I can keep on top of them, the more there are the harder it becomes to tell them apart :P), if they are all defeated it depends on how I feel, if I've just found a new area I'll explore that first, I'll also finish up any quests I have and check the shops for anything intresting(since items in shops changes when you start a new game I don't want to lose that item :P), then I'll do a last check for new quests(looking for boss like battles, I love them), before I start a new game.
Sometimes though, I like to play without enemy covenants, just so I can take the game slowly.

Does your character have any quirks that you've made up?
I've got a shared box filled with the 16 carrying bags, filled with artifacts, unque items and peices for sets I've not completed, but that's me, not my characters. Crysania, my main priest always has to heal even the smallest injuries when not in battle, while my mage ends every battle with the teleport stone, just incase I get hit with a trap I like to keep the teleport as close to me as I can.

What are your five favorite tips?hmn, intresting, let's give this a go:

Poison, fire, etc are all good ways to attack a boss, since they deal more damage the longer the fight
never underestimate the boost you can recive from buffs
food, and for mages, drink are the cheapest(other than your lifestone) way to recove health, and in battle the slower recover can be much better.
that doesn't mean you shouldn't carry a potion or 2 though, just for emergencies
and, lastly, never underestimate your recruits, sure, they aren't as strong as you, but it doesn't mean they can't double your fighting powres, keep a priest at your convenant for a few long lasting buffs when you return to town, and always be on the look out for recruits of a higher level than you(ok, so it's normaly only by 5 or so levels, but that's still huge)
