Don't know if you saw this in the other thread, but the way weapon speed is calculated should be like negative number multipliers: speed / (1 + % increase). Perhaps if WeaponSpeed modifiers were negative (like cast speed) they might work this way automatically. The situation right now is that a speed increase of 80% will cause your speed to go from ~1.0 to 0.2, which will multiply your DPS by 5! 90% will cause speed to go from 1.0 to 0.1 ie. x10! I don't know what 100% would cause -- I guess instantaneous damage.

In order to be gradual, 100% of speed should give you x2 weapon speed. What happens right now is that 3 random magic modifiers of 30% would give you that 90% increase, multiplying DPS by 10. Those rare weapons are easily the best weapons in the game and are completely OP. Each modifier on its own gives only 1/0.7 = 43% increase, ie. only slightly more than 30%. Once the modifiers add up to 50%, things go crazy.
