Time to be a Drox Operative (3 hours so far)
Some feedbacks:

- intro is cool, not perfect, but good. As other requested, a better syncro between voice and music in last part is good. For not english speaker, subtitles?
- first of all, I'm a dop, kivi and dins player.. but a quickstart option could help newcormers: just click and start a game as human, with only name insert required
- at first enemy attack/encounter, a tip on tutorial for shipyard (or I've missed that?)
- gravity well are really cool, there are wepons to build some little black hole and stop moving enemies?
- my first quest from human was to go to another start system and kill a named monster.. but no clue for how to make trip. My suggestion is to have first quest in another start system as part of tutorial quest, use a marker on map for stargates

Random thoughts:
- it's cool
- I need more weapon
- too much time (3 hours) with only humans.. it's boring after a bit.. other races doesn't scout around in human space?
- how to win ? It's not clear, in Dop you have victory conditions.. but here?

after some hours:

It's vital to get most of jump gate activated as soon is possible, to solve quest fast and get things done.

Now humans dominate galaxy and try to kill legions :D
I'm supporting humans, so everytime I found some legions around a planet, I die..

Another thing: teleport anomalies are too much

Other races will scout in human territory.

The win condition is getting all remaining races to ally with one another and you.

There are rare components.

You can buy/hire crew at planets sometimes. There are also quests for them like DoP occasionally.

There are even a few timed quests. We don't put a counter on the main screen though.

First challenge done! (0.902)
A long run with human + dryads + drox vs lithosoid .. and everyone hates lithosoid thanks to me :D
A lot of subraces emerges.. really cool!! I like it!

Some bugs/ideas:
- a message said "Forpin build a gate".. what is Forpin ? A monster? Where is build this gate? What is a gate? I don't know!
- crew member is dead and you can repair/heal it ? :-/ permadeath option for crew members?
- saw a little comet passing into sun.. maybe you can avoid this ?
- bug: when you change your power reactor, and you need a lot of power, bar go out of the screen
- bug: in war against lithosoid, I saw a system with lithosoid color (yellow) on title and this is okay, but enemy planet (last one!!) I wasn't able to saw it, even if I already explored it
- bug/idea: to avoid too much near planets in a system and systems too near in galactic view, you can take a look to this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delaunay_triangulation) and here for an implementation (http://code.google.com/p/jdt/) it's simple and easy to use to generate better galaxies and systems
- it's possible to go from map to relation screen?
- on quest screen can you add a button to go to relation screen?
- in a dimensional pocket I've found a derelic fringe ship.. on the wormhole: it's difficult to select when is too near and more in general why so small size dimensional pocket?


A side note: on level 12 game is interesting! You can influence races, have understood main mechanics and more important there are good drops :D

Crew have permadeath in the hardcore modes.

The 2nd one is not a bug. I do that so you know how far you are overpowered.

While I agree that this is good info to pass on to the player (how over powered you are), it really is kind of ugly the way it is displayed now!

Rather than extending the bar, you could wrap over it the same way you do the XP debt, except only wrap over once. So if you're at full red capacity, you'd have a red bar. If you're over full capacity, part of the bar will flash. Once you're at more than 100% over capacity, the whole bar will flash, and that would be the maximum displayed amount.

The bar extending works sort of okay for when your components are a bit over, though it always looks bad and during power plant swap looks downright broken. I think it valuable to find a better solution - one that remains contained within the component interface and quantifies how much of a power strain you're at without looking at the ship debuffs.

yeah, it's a bug in my mind :D

anyway, after a new sector (boring one.. explained below), report:
- add icon for localte black box on system/galactic map. Having xp debt is a pain.. and forgot where bb is even more!
- 4 damage for 20 seconds is too much for a trap!
- bug: I've found a way to make a rumor with lithosoid. You need a game only with Lithosoid and another sub-race (Talon for example). You can't make a rumor on Talon, just Lithosoid
- bug: I'm defending a Talon planet from hordes of monsters.. and Talon don't give me some relation bonus, why ?
- reward chest is not so good. I mean at level 18 you need a more bigger weapon, some nuclear reactor.. I've found all the stuff under my current stats!

Congrats on completing 3 sectors. I've not uhh.. accomplished that yet. If you check out my abandoned count... I tend to quit once I've helped my ally become the biggest. I don't enjoy solo'ing planets trying to eliminate the remaining competitors for very long. Some of suggestions I've made are to fix this end game issue. I don't feel like an alliance really does much of anything for me. There is no feeling that we are working together.

You have had some bad luck finding crew it seems.

Here's my ship... I died recently and haven't repaired, so ignore the dead crew, they will be back up to snuff soon. :) Currently I'm using a bomb because I find that it's AoE damage is much better for defeating planets right now. The range and damage it does compared to any other weapon is a bit overpowered. I'm okay with though because planetary defenders are so difficult to fight unless you exploit them.

I want to try with different ship, something smaller, quicker, with fast attacks :D

here my feedback on .904:
- could be initial relation bonuses with races influenced from captain races? This sounds good to me (-10%=natural enemies, 0%,+10% = natural friends)
- why if a race start from only home planet have a quest for Drox in another system?
- jump gate and map: the fact in map mode near jump gate you cannot see nothing than galaxy map is okay.. bug galaxy map is blockend even you are far away from jump gate
- traps with energy leak in first system is a pain: can be avoided in first system when player is on low level (<5 ? )

This happens to me, when I still have the jump gate selected. Try unselecting it. Can you jump, when this happens?

Hmm..im looking at the dps of both your ships as i haven't reached that level yet. From what i can gather on my lvl9 cortex, i don't think I've yet to see my dps change with more points into tactical. Have you guys noticed a change in dps when placing points in tactical or is it only when you get a new weapon.
