All ships need a captain, and assuming the Drox Operative is the captain of each ship, then maybe he/she should have some growth/persistence between games too.

What about giving the captain a couple of points to invest in something at the end of each successful challenge or after victory is achieved in a game?

What about adding minor perks to the Drox Operative as he earns certain achievements? For instance, earning "Eagle Eye" might give the Operative a 5% tweaked find chance while "Treasure Hunter" achievement might give the Drox Operative a 15% tweaked find chance.

I really lke the idea, and maybe it can be used to fix some problem. I think perks migh be "big up", not just 5% more money.

Like upgrading the ship : you could have one perk at the end of a Sector that gives you the next ship.

One perk that doubles the range fog of war vanish.
