Like some other guys telled in other threads, 5 crewpoints per level are not much.
Now i ask me, why dont give us some bonus-crewpoints for the achievements ?
Or maybe different startingboni for every achievement we collect.
I had this idea befor in Din's Curse and i think it may work in both games.
But back to DO.
Achievemtens/unlockable content is mostly a nice thing for more replayability.
How about 1 Achievement gives a random elite item after starting a new game. An other gives 2 Crewpoint, one a crewmember or some creds?
And maybe add some more achievements.

That would certainly make them more collectible.

Elite items for every achievement is a bit of an overkill. Maybe for only the hardest achieves like 1 000 000 creds, 100 000 ships etc.

Perhaps make it symbolical like an elite lifepod for 10 lifepod escapes?

Sure it must be balanced.
And like i sayd there must not be items for every achievement.
Some of them cane give 1 or to Crew-points for next ship or instead directly +1 on Computer, Command or wath ever.
It dont must be overpowered just some bonusses so it feels like you get something for the effort.

I hope it is readable i know my english isn't that good.

Problem with this would be, that the achievemts are currently computerwide. You would get theses bonuses only once and only with one character.

I know you get the achievements just once.
But thats no problem.
My plan ist that you get the bonuses from the achievemetns for new ships that you make, not on the ship that collect the achievement.
So for every achievement you unlock you will get more startingbonuses for fututer ships. Simillar to the system on othe games like Elona shooter or ToME.
