And before I start, things that get one rescued are banned!!!

1. My sunglasses. Theyre prescription and I can see far with them. I dont like being outside without them, ever.

2. A gigantic bottle of Advil. My head is not my friend sometimes.

3. Do they make solar ipods? Id like tons of music.

4. I non-rusting knife or axe.

5. If the kids were grown, Id take Steven with me. :)

Your turn! Play fair, people. No phones, boats or airplanes. Tell me what youd want on a deserted island.

An engineering textbook, an electronics textbook, and a chemistry textbook. A good knife, whetstone, and carpenter's and mechanic's toolkits wouldn't hurt either. :)

Yes, I go all survivalist on questions like these. Oh, and a sturdy plastic or oilcloth sack to stow everything in!

I think that's more than 5. What is your number one, top, must have? The engineering book?

Well, if we're being strict, I'll settle for the books and the toolkits. But at the very least the knife and whetstone. :)

You'd take your entire hometown?!?! I hope I don't live there. :D That would be a weird way to end up "lost."

Ok, My five items would be....

1. My boyfriend
2. A laptop that can play DoP and a few other little games (also solar...please)
3. My books..I can't live without reading (or at the very least my favorite book of all time Gone with the Wind)
4. A Puppy....a cute one
5. My mp3 player (solar..please)....I has to have my music

Assuming that we're talking the strictest sense, and that things like an internet connection for a laptop is out...

1. book of indiginous plants, which is edible, medicinal, poisionous, etc
2. hatchet (blade on one side, blunt for hammering on the other)
3. water desalination system
4. fishing net
5. my glasses ('cause my contacts aren't disposable, and my disinfecting system is electric)

Of course, with my health problems and all the meds I have to take, I probably wouldn't last long anyway :)

I had to put advil on my list. I can't imagine my life without advil. But... I could replace that with a puppy! :D

I didn't realize I was striking genius when I added a puppy! I said it because I can't have one of my own, so I'm always wishing for one!

But, Delilah, aren't these just the cutest little things you ever saw?

Puppy two is just adorable!! Reminds me of a fox, which fits right in with the books I've been reading, Elizabeth Moon's Heris Serrona series.

1. A house, I'm not building anything myself :p
2. People I can get along with, no going (more) mad for me.
3. An unbreakable pc with satellite internet, because I'm not letting a repairman come over. (also assuming that the house has a power supply, solar panels or something).
4. Supplies or other ways to provide me with food and drinks.
5. A towel. ;)
