Simple question I hope:

Where are my characters saved to on a Mac?

On the Mac, your characters are saved in /Users/YOUR USER NAME/Library/Application Support/Depths of Peril/User/Chars

Thanks!

On a related side-note, I taught myself how to use hex.

Ah, but can you count to 64 in it? ;)

Perhaps saying "I taught myself how to use hex" was being a bit too generous.

Thus, I recant my previous statement.

On a related side-note, I got into hex, smashed a bunch of buttons, and poof, my mage is less sucktacular.

sharp-shoot that one D.

To be honest, I'm not sure I can actually count to 100 in base-10, much less hexidecimal. I've never actually sat down and done so. Though I assume I can. :)

A more correct way to phrase your statement would be to say that you opened your save file in a hex editor. It's all in fun anyway. ;)

As a minor clarification, the post was meant to be self-deprecating in tone. Having come back to it again, I think maybe a little too much of that was lost via the medium?

Meh, just nitpicking. Still, the successful hex editing was the best thing that happened to me in the last week! That or whatever it was I ate last. Was probably pretty tasty and psychologically fulfilling.

I must refer you to my upcoming post on the aftermath. Link will be provided once the post is up.

Yes, I saw it :)

In the interest of good communication, my initial comment was a joke as well. :)
