Escape Pod won't launch
 

So I'm going for a build focused on ramming things (smartest build, I know) and aside from the Power Virus I got equipped on my ship because Infection, my other plan is to drive my ship close to things that can't be rammed into and hitting the self-destruct button until the planet/station is destroyed.

Problem is, my escape pod won't launch. In fact, my ship doesn't disappear when destroyed and I'm left with this.



So my completely flawless and entirely sane plan can't continue.
