![]() Hello, I played a bit in Zombasite and wanted to know if Din's Curse or other Soldak games are worth to play.
I mean if Zombasite has everything that Din's Curse and other Soldak games contain - there is no point to play other games, or there is? |

![]() Well Drox Operative is set in space so it is quite a bit different.
Din's Curse has a lot of commonalities with Zombasite, but DC has a much tighter focus. In each world there is only a dungeon/cave and your town. While you are tasked with defending the town, all of the people in it are independent of you. There are also no clans.

![]() My favorite is Drox, then Zombasite, then all others.
I'd say all others are too much like Zombasite, but Drox feels different. Sure it's in space, but my feeling is also that the factions quest/sabotage/diplomacy and all, are more meaningful and better integrated.

![]() If you're OK with the space setting, then Drox Operative is definitely worth playing. The difference in the way the game plays is significant, though you'll notice some of the similarities as well.
I'd say Din's Curse is still worth playing. It provides a much more focused experience. If you want the Soldak experience, but in something that's a little bit simpler and less overwhelming, then Din's Curse is worth checking out. It's much harder to recommend Depths of Peril. While it's a great game in its own right, it wouldn't really offer you anything that you can't find in Zombasite. And all of these games have demos, so you can get a glimpse of what they have to offer yourself. |

![]() I think Depths of Peril has better graphics and much better visual cohesion than all the other non-Drox games. Subsequent games look like they threw all the assets in a blender with no real attempt to unify the artistic style, but Depths of Peril is a living and almost story book like cohesive world. I recommend trying it for that reason.
