I'm playing a ranged Archer/Necro but I somehow feel that I've eiter allocated my stats point wrong or that I'm something missing. I play in towns that are slightly below my level, but still have to use quite a lot of food and drinks. Damaging normal enemies is fine, but I have a lot of problems against elite mobs. I usually stick to attacking with Blight and Exploding Arrow to pull a larger group of mobs and finish then with normal ranged attacks. I feel that I'm especially vulnerable to magic attacks, so I've put some more points in Int, but that doesn't seem to cut it. I've exported my character below, maybe someone can take a look at it and point me at any areas I've neglected? Thanks! ![]() Honestly, I think its the games itemization. The items we get compared to the difficulty of the monsters doesnt make sense.
This is one issue I think they should patch into DoP and DC. (A better item system) |

![]() Anyway, some hybrid combos just don't work very well. Usually the ones I've had the most success with is the ones that combine good bonuses from my stats. That way I can specialize more. This game seems much easier when you specialize as much as you can. My characters range from level 66 to level 20 right now and using as few skills as possible have made the game easier. Make use of potions as well. Some of my characters regularly use potions, especially resistance potions depending on the level. This game also seems to reward having multiple characters and sharing stuff. If one character gets stuck, switch to another and watch for good equipment. My Hunter Paladin got stuck with a really old bow for ages. I finally gave up and played my other character and found a bow right away that did triple the damage. Sadly bows seem very low damage in this game anyway, my characters that rely on bows have gotten to be a pain to play past level 20. |
