Fantastical Creature Reality Show Contestant Sneak Peek #4: Haimes the Scree

A mini-demon who slipped through chaos into Aleria, Haimes is truly from another dimension. His gray hunched over body sports a hard brown plate, matching the furless skin on top of his head. The pointy striped tail and narrow, long ears make his appearance rat-like. Yellow eyes glint above an extended jaw full of razor sharp teeth.

Interviewer: I hope you donít mind us doing things a little differently this week, Haimes. Weíve asked for questions from our viewers. Robin Stoller from New Jersey wants to know, "How can anyone from such a cowardly race as scree think he can win Survive an Island?"

Haimes: Some may call us cowardly, but I think of it as prudent. Thereís a reason so many scree thrive the hostile caverns belowground.

Interviewer: Itís interesting to find a scree applying for the show because your kind prefers to travel in groups. How do you plan to win when youíre on your own on the island?

Haimes: No one is better at survival than scree. Itís more than a numbers game; itís instinct. Something I have that the other contestants wonít.

Interviewer: Okay, well thatísÖ something I guess. When it comes to the competitions, what types will you do well?

Haimes: Iíve never watched these kinds of shows before. Iím not sure what the competitions will be like but as a scree, there is one thing Iíve learned- I just need to run faster than one of the other guys. Surviving isnít about winning as much as it is about not being the dead weight everyone picks to vote off the island.

Interviewer: Steven Peeler from Texas asks, "Scree are usually only dangerous in numbers. What do you as a lone scree think youíll be able to accomplish?"

Haimes: I donít have to be dangerous. Those will be the first guys picked to be voted out. Iím the guy everyone wants to be next to at the end. All I have to do is stay out of the fighting. I donít think this will be hard at all.

Interviewer: Why do you want the viewers to pick you for this game?

Haimes: We are all more than what weíve been labeled. If I get on the island, I will win this game and prove it to the world.
