I agree with Nim.

If someone doesn't like the option nothing forces him to use it, (it's the same with the possibility of playing hardcore, clumsy, poor ect...), it's presence won't affect your gameplay in any way. But many other ppl might like and rely on this possibility.

If you have stat achievement bonuses, it WILL affect gameplay. However, I thought of yet another potential way to balance gameplay between races and I am thinking about how to present it.

It isn't, and if anything this proves my point. When selecting HC or clumsy or whatever, the player commits to the choice made for the duration of the game and the choice can not be reversed during play.
But you (all) are right in that I don't have to use it if I don't want to. Also, it would be ludicrous to remove a feature just because one person says so (even though I never asked for undo and still got it), and once again I must say that I have no intention of forcing anything on anyone. Hooray for the modibility of this game.
