![]() Interesting. What's your ships's speed in the video?

![]() Depends on if you are referring to the first (SP vid) or second (MP vid). In the first, it's a stock, out of the box, Fringe ship. In the second it's a Drakk with 200 speed.

Looks like the turn rate is far too dependent on speed. I think turn rate should perhaps be constant, or it should be a separate stat (as I think eRaSer suggested). |

![]() Yes, I liked it a lot. We were considering putting a button on th main menu which would take the player to a video tutorial. I tried to make a video tutorial with Fraps, but my voice sounded like a boring economics teacher which would certainly put everyone to sleep.

![]() As you might not know, I was asked by Arcen Games (the makers of AI:War, A Valley Without Wind and Tidalis) to make the official tutorial videos for AI:War (you can find them here).
Since then, I've improved both my "acting" and my technical equipment (real studio microphone, puff filter, proper soundcard, more advanced recording gear) so you could expect something of significantly better quality. Those videos above are, tbh, rather "lazily" done. It's just a "hop into the game, record while playing without script". If I'd do a proper tutorial, I'd make a script and take my time to re-record and cut out parts that don't work (a lot of "err":s and "umm":s for instance) and similar. If you need anything like that, send me a PM with your ideas. Last edited by Moonshine Fox : 07-04-2012 at 07:49 AM. Reason: Clarification. |
