Latest Steam Patch is crashing game

Hi y'all,

Just came back from using steam and when I opened it, it updated Din's Curse.
There was nothing to explain what this update was (The game was working fine already) so I thought I would try and play it a bit and see if I could see what it was.
To my unhappy surprise, the game crashes every time I try to load an old character, or make a new one!

I hope this will be fixed because I really enjoy playing this game and it would be sad without being able to.

The odd thing is it's working fine for me and I am getting the achievements and everything but I actually have the (non-Steam) expansion installed. I wonder if that has something to do with it because everyone else who doesn't have the expansion is reporting it crashing and causing problems for them with this new Steam update.

I just bought this game on Steam, and I'm experiencing the same problem, I think.

I try to create a character, I click on "Create New World," or some such, and the game goes to a loading screen and stays there.

I make my way to desktop, and I have a message waiting for me that Din's Curse has stopped responding.

Same problem here -- every time I try to load a world since the 1.026 patch, Din crashes out. On a mac (macbook pro, running 10.7.4)
